Rihanna, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj or Chris Brown, this last years, we saw many celebrities dressed in wax, thanks to the progress of fashion at the rate of African Diaspora which imposes its style graphic and colored of the WAX’s fabrics in the world. A creative style with a strong international rise.

 

WAX” as the wax, has this name because of the motives originate thanks to a shoe polish colored on both faces of the fabric. Young women born in Paris, from Congolese parents, Laetitia Kandolo is a polyvalent fashion women, artistic director, stylist, creator who worked with a lot of famous artists as Rihanna, Madonna, Kanye West. Moreover, she is the creator of a young womenswear’s brand named UCHAWI, which mean magic in Swahili.

Inspired and created by Laetitia, Uchawi get modern and atypical clothes reflecting a powerful melting between Occidental and African culture and tradition. Uchawi is more than a simple label, but it’s a world which gather ideas from her daily life, some travelling, her entourage and different feeling. Indeed, we find typical clothes with a particular detail in each of them, that created the originality of Uchawi, like the as the colors, the design, the fabric or the model of clothes.

Being the best representative of the African’s fashion, the wax has its place in the “UCHAWORLD”, he brings an African touch in the PINKEDITION’s collection. Completely inspired by the typical 80’s Congolese’s model, the wax’s articles shaped by Laetitia are vintage, charming, chic and actual at the same time.
