Plaça Reial – The Paradise of Drinks & Party in Barcelona

Staying in Barcelona, regardless you are here for short holiday or longer period requires a good amount of tasty, refreshing drinks to put in that sunburned body! I am sure you’ve already heard about the clubs and restaurants nearby the seacoast, and strict city center of “Summer Paradise”, but this time I wanted to introduce you to the other, amazing place to spend your time and money at.

Plaça Reial is well known, occupied by tourists and locals square in the heart of Barri Gòtic, just next to the famous La Rambla. It was designed by Francesc Daniel Molina i Casamajó in the XIX century. The “golden center” of Plaça Reial is The Fountain of Three Graces. The square is additionally embellished by two street lamps designed by the great Antoni Gaudí. But enough about the history and architecture…

Plaça Reial is one of the best places to grab a drink and find some nightlife entertainment at! The square is fairly shared by cozy restaurants and diverse bars, that in the night become clubs and great places to stay for the party.

Los Tarantos 
For a nice start of the evening, the “must visit” place at the Plaça Reial is Los Tarantos – one of the oldest Barcelona’s flamenco venues. The shows consist of 30 minutes long play, sing and dance sessions and is one of the best flamenco places in the country. During the show, you can enjoy a sip of Barcelona’s taste available in the full service, price-friendly bar. Olé!

Carry on – Drink Cheap, Drink Good, Go Dance

Just on the opposite side of Los Tarantos, there is a very nice, ready to get you in the party mood bar called Karma. Take a sit outdoors and enjoy your evening with a glass of Sangria in your hand. After midnight the bar becomes a frequently visited night club.

Pipa Club Plaça Reial
If you are looking for tasty cocktails served by best bartenders in town – Pipa Club is a place for you! The bar is a very cozy place, visited both by tourists and locals. If it is your lucky day, you might experience one of their Comedy Club evenings. The bar might seem to be a bit more pricey comparing to other locations, but believe me, it is worth it!

Even though it is an intimate club, Sidecar is a great place to visit. With the capacity of around 300 people, one dance floor and a small stage for live performers, Sidecar is ready to entertain you any day of the week. The music can differ from day to day and you can find here anything from mainstream, dance music to old, good rock’n’roll.

When you are ready to “shake what your mama gave ya” you should definitely visit Jamboree! The Club gets fully crowded around 2 am, and before you can get in for free if you are on the “guest list”. If you are true R&B, Soul and Hip-Hop music lover you should definitely visit this place. DJ Yoda will take good care of you! Aside from being a dance venue, Jamboree is a location of many Jazz concerts.
